In July of 1990, after being a Sales Manager with a National Snack Food chain and a high school teacher, Steve and Gretchen Cherry seized an opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream. Real Estate sales had always been a profession that was in the distance, a someday I want to become, and in 1990 that dream became a reality.

For a number of years after that, working as a “couple team” met the demands of the consumer and allowed Steve and Gretchen to glean from each other ideas, new ways of communicating and relating to the public, and servicing clients as they had not been before. In 1998 Steve and Gretchen saw the need to expand the sales force to be able to better serve their clients and to create a better quality family life. Additionally they wanted to change the National Association of Realtor statistic of 92% failure rate, and had a strong desire to individually train and equip professional men and women for a changing real estate industry. Hence, the Progressive Realtor Group was born. Progressive by definition is “to progress, to advance” and has been redefined to include unsurpassed training to guide members of the Progressive Realtor Group to an extreme high level of success. Furthermore, the Group is designed to encourage and strengthen the three main components of life – Spiritual, Family and Career.

Since that time in 1998, the Progressive Realtor Group grew to include many diverse men and women. Different skill sets were learned, education processes were continued and each member further developed the tools necessary to represent the ever changing consumer needs. The Progressive Auction Group was formed, followed by the Progressive Commercial Group, and finally the Progressive Property Management Group. The name was modified to Progressive Real Estate Groups to further define that the Progressive Real Estate Groups is a team of Professionals with unique personalities, backgrounds, life experiences, but all sharing the same life goals - God first, others/family second, and self last. Each member of the Progressive Real Estate Groups is committed to serve the public with honesty, integrity, and with the highest level of service possible.

None of us is perfect, none of us get it right every time, yet we all strive to attain excellence in all we do. It is not only suggested, it is required.
